"An Excellent Decision"
(FairDinkum99 - Perth, Australia) December 23,2009
We're just back in Perth from a week at Villa Jerami in Bali. We chose this villa via an internet search and were heavily influenced by the comments on Trip Advisor - which we echo. This was a very pleasant villa and the images and descriptions on the website were accurate. All our arrangements from the booking process right through to our departure were faultless and efficient. The villa was extremely private with an excellent pool which we all enjoyed enormously - and given the climate we found it essential for our sanity! The rooms were clean and comfortable - and the master suite with its romantic mossy net was a positive turn on! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning perfect. We loved the outside bathroom ( exposed to the sky only!) Do be careful on the slick floor though - Karen nearly went A over T on the wet floor. We had the 2 bedroom villa but do be advised that the second bedroom only has two single beds so two couples together may have to fight over the 4 poster in the master suite - or share it! We loved the breakfasts every morning and the staff were always most polite, unobtrusive and efficient. We had a driver as advertised for more than 8 hours on one day -all for the total cost of US65.00 - excellent value. Reception book everything for you - very efficient and simple. The only slight downside of the Villa is the location which is not exactly central Seminyak but taxis are as cheap as chips and you can be wherever you want to be in a matter of minutes. Kudeta Restauant is a must for an evening out - wonderful food and setting - but take your plastic - expensive by Bali standards. Overall great - a good choice - we would return.
"An absolute Gem!"

"What more can you ask for..2 nights was definitely too short" (1) Booking - The Ops Mgr was prompt in replies to all my emails, and she gave us a great package for a 3D2N stay with a late checkout till 6pm due to our late flight as well as a personalized flower arrangement on our bed. (2) Airport Transfer - The ride to villa is about 20 min. The chauffeur was very prompt, polite and helpful in every possible ways. (3) One Bedrm w Pool - The furnishing of the bedroom was modern and cozy. Pool was cleaned up during room service everyday and all we would want to do is to open the sliding door in our bedroom and jump into the pool for a nice soak. (4) Living Room & Kitchen - Open concept and Spacious. Breakie was cooked and served daily. You could enjoy an appetising breakie at the comfort of your villa, and at the same time indulge in a wide selection of TV channels! Bt do not expect a huge variety of breakie to be served. (5) Bathroom - The bathtub was decorated with fresh flowers, and our favourite part of the bathroom was the outdoor overhanging rainforest shower. (6) Refreshing Fruity Spa - We had 2 hours of balinese massage, scrub and fruity bath in a couples tub.The ambience was totally relaxing and private. (7) Candelight Dinner - They set up a table by the pool, and litted the entire areas with lots of candles. We were served a 3 course meal under a sky of glittering stars. It was the most enjoyable candlelight dinner, in the comfort of our shorts and tees. (8) Service - Service from all staffs were excellent. We would like to specially appraise one staff Mr Oka who had took extra efforts to arrange a private transport service for a half day visit to Uluwatu temple and also arranged a spa room for us to shower and freshen up before we went to airport. Though there were occasional electricity trips, their technicians were on standby 24 hours to resolve any technical issues. We couldnt find much fault with their service, except that they had wanted to bill us for two cans of beers consumed from mini-bar. When we explained that we were non-beer drinkers. they had immediately removed the charges. Hence for all to take note upon check out. (9) Location - Jerami is located just beside Bali Deli. The food at their restaurant was wonderful and you could get almost everything u need like fresh food, meat, spices, veg, drinks, snacks, wine to cook at your villa from their supermarket. Definitely recommended to try! Cheers to Villa Jerami and team.
"Excellent all round"

I have stayed at Villa Jerami x 2 times and I cannot praise the staff enough, friendly courtious and beautiful villas. The grandchildren loved just having their private pool. Next door is the Bali Deli where you can buy anything at comparible Aussi prices except wine and spirts. Not far to walk to the main shopping area. I am going back again in April next year.
"absolutely fantastic~Perfect 10/10!"

i was overwhelmed by their professional and friendly staffs always smiling esp: the lady receptionist that check us into our villa and another staff named Oka. -the 2bedrm villa stay was great! very modern setting yet with a touch of balinese style (roof and plants) - seminyak beach is far, abt 10mins drive or 20mins walk. there is free shuttle(1way)- but u only need to be there once for the entire holiday , maybe abt max 2hrs, as there is not much to do besides surfing which i did and i really enjoyed myself! -the only setback was the bfast was cooked by diff ppl daily , so the taste varies** 1st day ~fried rice - but not the 2nd day. 2nd day~ mee goreng was good -a surprised insect repellent spray was provided in the amenties basket ,saved me frm more BITES as i forgotten to pack into my luggage! i told the staff tt i finished e bottle by the end of the 1st night n they send me 3more bottles- 1 each for my frds as well. BRAVO! Very thoughtful staffs!

We (2 couples) stayed at the 2-room villa for three nights two weeks back, and we absolutely loved the place! The warm and friendly receptionists were expecting our arrival and made checking into the villa a quick, smooth and pleasant experience. The villa is spacious and clean, and the pool and furniture extremely well-maintained. One of the rooms had two single beds, and we requested for a change to a double. When we got back to the villa that night, the single beds were replaced with a double; most places would have pushed the two single beds together and left it at that! It was wonderful to have breakfast cooked for us in the villa every morning. All we had to do was to inform the staff of our breakfast choices and the time for breakfast, and everything would be ready by the time we all got up! The location was so-so as it was quite a distance to the beach. However, it's also less busy and noisy since it's not in the main shopping/ beach area. We will definitely go back!

Stayed Villa Jerami from March 17 to March 31- can only highly praise this accommodation. This is our 4th time staying in Villa accommodation in Bali and our 8th trip to Bali and iwe rate Villas Jerami very very highly. I feel the price of the villas is very competitive and of good value. Having your breakfast cooked for you in the villa every morning is always something special and yes it is inclusive in the price, just set your time for breakfast, crawl out of bed and its ready on the table with the staff waiting to see if you would like anything else . "MAGNIFICENT" From arrival to leaving the management & staff here are what Bali is all about - "BRILLIANT", friendly and always trying to make your stay something to remember, the accommodation was a 2 bedroom villa with pool and was maintained excellently for the duration of our stay. The location is great just situated behind Bali Deli with many quality restaurants in close proximity of the Villas. Pools are good size and checked and cleaned regulary. To those considering Villas as an alternative than a resort - give Villas Jerami a go - you will not be disapointed Good friends of ours also booked a 2 bedroom Villa and it was there first trip to Bali and from what they experienced it will not be there last - they loved it. 10/10 Staff of the Villas Jerami - we will be back to see you soon - GREAT JOB. We had this recommended at the last minute - one of the larger beach-front hotels in Seminyak ditched our booking at the last minute - and could not have been more satisfied. We couldn't get in straight away, so spent a few nights at the Villa Alam Warna, near the Oberoi, which was also very good and newer, but we didn't have a pool on the first floor. Jerami laid on a limo service to pick us up, cold drinks and towels awaited us in our villa. Private pool - big enough to cool off, but not one for swimming lengths in - well equipped atap and room, DVDs, TVs, reasonably equipped kitchen and total privacy. Immensely friendly staff, including the chef coming to cook breakfast in the villa each morning, very attentive front of house and housekeeping and chatty security staff out front. Needed access to e-mails from time to time, so no problem, the Spa staff allowed me on to their PC. Talking of whom, the spa was very reasonable, if a little below par skill- wise - the reflexology in Bali was not very sophisticated generally, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and we did have a very enjoyable package one evening, including an hour of massage, body scrubs, hot bath and then candle lit dinner in the villa, all in. The location was not great, near the main road at the back of Seminyak, so some distance from the beach, but, right next door to Bali Deli, which is cool in both senses, and close to the main drag with shops/restaurants and taxis a- plenty. Hiring a car/driver+guide for the day is not expensive (around US$40 a day) and a good way of getting to see the sights. We chose not to try 2 wheels, due to the totally chaotic nature of the roads - I have never seen such bedlam on the roads and I have seen some! Never quite worked out how they manage to avoid hitting each other more often. It is worth picking up leaflets at the airport as you wait to get through immigration - you will have time, believe me - and check out some of the deals on offer - the Jerami staff were keen to pitch in with their packages, but they did seem to be a bit pricier and the quality of the service we used was good. Do remember your protection - sun and bug - particularly if you go walking the streets - Bali is after all not Mayfair! Overall - Jerami is a great destination, with very comfortable accommodation and superbly professional staff. Well worth the price and a place to recommend for anyone not wanting to be in a big hotel on the beach. Liked: Great staff and total privacy Disliked: Not much to complain about, so let's leave this blank!

My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Villa Jerami for four nights in early March. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We arrived late night and asked if they knew a vegetarian restaurant nearby. They provided us with a car and a driver to take us to an Indian restaurant and brought us back. as well Seminyak is about 20 minutes from Kuta and we ended up hiring a scooter and driving to Kuta and back every day. Be wary of air conditioned taxis who may charge more than twice as much they charge the locals. The villa itself is immaculately maintained. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and had our own swimming pool, living room and kitchen/dining. Their spa deals are certainly worth a try and quite reasonably priced as well. They were unable to provide us with a late check out on the day, but when we returned to the villa for the airport drop off, they graciously offered us a viila to freshen up which was a very generous gesture. Check out the Queen Tandoor (or Tandoor Queen perhaps) which is an Indian restaurant about 5 minute walk from the Villa. Really great food (spicy but not hot). There is also a O India Restaurant on the highway with which we were quite impressed. Not many Balinese food choices to appeal to the vegetarian palate, but there are a few good Indian restaurants around. Villa Jerami - highly recommended !
